Architecture I have worked professionally in the design field for the last thirteen years. After graduating U.C. Berkeley in 1991 with a degree in Architecture, I worked at firms that ranged from small to large corporate architecture and interior design firms. I've had the opportunity to work on large-scale commercial interior projects such as Adobe Headquarters and Hotel Resorts, and retail roll-out projects, like Macy's, Gap Inc, Smith & Hawken, Pottery Barn, to smaller prototype interior and residential projects. I've been involved in all phases of an architectural project from Design Development to Construction Administration. I've had roles that have included project architect, project management, job captain, and designer.

Interactive Design For the last 4 years, after taking numerous graphic design studios, and wanting to fulfill my interest in other mediums of design, I decided to take my architectural, design, and retail branding experience to another level, by taking a leap into the interactive media world. Taking the skills that I developed at architecture firms like Gensler, I partnered in my own interactive agency. I was responsible for business development, project management, front-end programming, creative direction, staffing, strategy, user interface design, client contact, storyboarding, motion design, and producing various ecommerce web sites of different scales. To date, I have produced and implemented a variety of web sites and demos from small boutique retail service sites, graphic design firms, photographers, furniture studios, art galleries, sound production studios, instructional demos, content management sites, e-commerce, to large technology sites. Some of my clients have included Agilent, OhBoy, A Design Company, Fujitsu, and Goalline Productions. I have a solid understanding of what it takes to get a site produced at any scale. I can even teach you the skills you need to maintain your own site.

Creative + Technical I have always been interested in the creative and technical aspects of a design project of any scale and in any medium. I am interested in bringing these two worlds together, by understanding a project's goals, technical requirements, researching their audience, working with the client to develop a message, and implementing my knowledge and skill to create a successful project that we are all happy with. I am fond of furniture, product, graphic, motion design as well as architectural and interior design. Some of my favorite designers are the Eames, Josef Muller Brockmann, Paul Rand, Schindler, and Neutra. My interest in technology, computers, design, process, trends, and emerging new technologies have helped me achieve this. I have been the designer, strategist, and progammer for many of my projects.

Print Design My experience doesn't stop there. I also have experience in traditional graphic design. I have worked on various projects that have included brochures, post cards, datasheets, invitations, corporate identity, logo development, etc. I have worked on various environmental graphics projects that include wayfinding signage, retail signage, and trade-show graphics.

Personal I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California - an area called Silverlake. I found myself attracted to the Neutra and Schindler Houses at a young age. Although I love urban living in San Francisco, I have come to realize what a great opportunity I've had to live and learn from such a diverse and eclectic area as Los Angeles. It has kept my mind open to new ideas. I have also had the opportunity to work and travel to other countries like Korea, Paris, and London. I enjoy thinking about new, weird, and senseless ideas. I enjoy analyzing human behavior. I enjoy taking commonplace events and objects and thinking about them differently. I enjoy thinking about life in a universal way. I like to remember time and place.

Blah blah blah... Along the way, I've picked up a few other interests over the last 35 years that have included enjoying modern furniture, reading design books, experimenting with gadgets, watching animations, practicing yoga, collecting toys, enjoying all kinds of music, reading books, enjoying art and architecture, eating all kinds of food, enjoying a cocktail, using macs, watching movies, thinking about universal concepts, cherishing inspirational moments, loving dogs, taking digital photos, snowboarding, using my miniDV, listening to my ipod, getting massages, meeting interesting people, and aspiring to encounter more spiritual realizations. I have no fear in trying new things. Salsa lessons, sky-diving, as well as participating in an improv and public speaking class have been my more challenging events in my life. My goals for the future, is to practice more yoga, read more books, travel, and live each moment happily.
